About The Position

Our Eurofins PSS team is looking for a Cell Culture Associate Scientist in San Diego. The focus of the work will be to support early drug discovery programs at our client's site through varying Cell Culture and BioAssays techniques. You will be part of a highly collaborative core team that provides critical support to drug discovery research!

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar discipline)
• 1-2 years of relevant academic or industrial experience
• Strong attention to detail is essential
• Ability to closely follow instructions and protocols
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
• Fast learner
• Willing to run automated system
• Strong skills in tissue culture (aseptic technique)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, work planning, data analysis and record keeping skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required

Responsibilities

• Maintain mammalian cell lines, including expanding cultures, harvesting cells, and cryopreservation
• Prepare and validate reagents, record and maintain run information with accuracy, troubleshoot biology and/or process
• Maintain inventory and order reagents as needed
