About The Position

Perform affinity chromatography and viral inactivation in support of lab-scale cell culture studies. Conduct laboratory-scale cell culture studies (shake flask through bioreactors) to support characterization of cell banks and manufacturing bioprocesses. Perform basic laboratory support work such as preparation of solutions, sample submission, and equipment calibration. Collaborate on a small team to come up with new ideas and innovative solutions. Take lead on executing the purification of projects and perform project management duties. Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on lab activities and processes. Comply with all GxP standards, GHS policies, and current written procedures and protocols. Statistically analyze and review large data sets and draft technical reports to support studies. Present on technical topics during cross functional meetings. Work in a fast-paced lab environment. Balance multiple projects and tasks, prioritize and execute them independently, while communicating with all impacted parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry required.
  • Hands-on experience with cell culture or purification.
  • Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
