Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and testing methods.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office, quality management software, excel).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvements.
  • Must be able to read/understand basic math and SPC.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be trained in and understand safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and evaluate products and materials to meet customer requirements according to the Quality Policy.
  • Perform periodic visual inspections and dimensional inspections to identify defects.
  • Record quality data and work with the production team to implement improvements.
  • Document any changes made to the molding process.
  • Manage, perform, and verify work affecting quality.
  • Observe all safety precautions, food safety requirements, and plant policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Problem solve and identify non-conforming products or material/colorants.
  • Collaborate with Technicians, supervisors, and leads to resolve quality issues.
  • Set up and monitor all testing and measurement equipment.
  • Prepare, train, and ensure adherence to equipment procedures/work instructions.
  • Inspect product per Quality Plan to ensure quality and efficient machine operation.
  • Make adjustments by consulting Technician for corrective action.
  • Prepare, train, and ensure adherence to product procedures/work instructions.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in daily team meetings.
  • Contribute/implement ideas to improve operation performance.
  • Write, train, and monitor work instructions for existing and new employees.
  • Adhere to workplace organization.
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conforming product or quality systems.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Abide by all plant rules and safety regulations.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
