Advanced Testing Laboratory, a Bureau Veritas Company, is seeking an experienced Cell Biologist to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality. The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic, forward thinking and possess outstanding leadership development and/or technical skills, organizational awareness and a commitment to excellence.

  • Operate and support an automated system for the bulk isolation of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
  • Analyze results and make recommendations to the scientific leaders of the studies.
  • Develop methods while working with other departments.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and execute the isolation of high quality PBMCs for downstream research applications.
  • Interface with scientists from different research areas and third party vendors.
  • Record and communicate deviations in SOPs of PBMC isolation.
  • Maintain diligent record keeping and update internal databases.
  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years' experience in cell culture and/or molecular biology OR Bio-Tech associate's degree with 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in the R&D space with proven abilities to recognize and make recommendations on the data.
  • Previous experience working with human blood, especially isolation of PBMCs.
  • Experience with cryopreservation of biological samples.
  • Familiarity with laboratory technology and automation, particularly automated liquid handlers, flow cytometry, imaging and microscopy instrumentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a changing work environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • General computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
