JMT's Florida Construction Management Team is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to be responsible for managing Construction Inspection business in the assigned region. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Responsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects within the central region of Florida Manages contracts, including invoicing and financial management, as well as project management and overall project performance Responsible for project QA/QC in the assigned region Manage internal JMT staff and subconsultants Participate in client presentations Maintains and builds client relationships Prepare technical and price proposals Hires, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staff Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Six (6) years of engineering experience
  • Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects
  • Exception: Five (5) years for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures
  • A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
  • Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
  • Proficient in discipline specific design software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Written and communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)
  • To be achieved by Project NTP, if CEI Project Administrator/ Project Engineer holds qualification at time of proposal
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)

Responsibilities

  • Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
  • Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members
  • Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures
  • Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards
