About The Position

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our local projects within the Orlando, FL region. The role involves directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program, planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members, and developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures. The Senior Project Engineer will review programs for conformance with Department standards, oversee engineering production activities, and make authoritative decisions and recommendations. The position requires minimal supervision and involves leading a team of engineers and professional support staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

  • CTQP Quality Control Manager certification
  • Six years of engineering experience, with two years in relevant transportation projects
  • Master's Degree in Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program

  • Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards
  • Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit
  • Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
  • Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company
  • Skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues
  • Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff
