About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our Southeast Region located in Pensacola, FL. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow-on assignments. This position involves direct construction engineering administration and inspection project/program, planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members, developing and/or reviewing project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures, and preparing proposals and estimates for new projects. The role also includes reviewing technical work and reports prepared by others, managing projects to ensure schedules and budgets are met, and conducting periodic visits to construction or work sites to perform inspections.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
  • 6 years of progressive experience in Major Road and Bridge Construction
  • Familiarity with FDOT Policies and Procedures (District 3 is a plus)
  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification
  • Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination
  • Valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory driving record in accordance with Volkert's driving policy
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities
