About The Position

EAC is seeking an experienced CEI Project Engineer – Project Administrator with CEI expertise in Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with our construction and program management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT’s) Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) and other certifications required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and construction/engineering management support for transportation projects with FDOT and Tolling Agencies.
  • Oversee complex infrastructure initiatives and guide technical teams to ensure compliance with FDOT standards and regulations.
  • Supervise project managers and drive project execution to ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Implement the company’s Project Management policies and procedures, including the preparation of a comprehensive Project Management Plan.
  • Identify resources for each phase of the project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel or subconsultants.
  • Develop scope of services and negotiate fees required for project success.
  • Develop work plans for the delivery of quality projects within budget.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project team, including subconsultants.
  • Serve as a representative of the firm at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and the client to coordinate the project and achieve stakeholder needs.
  • Perform cost control to maintain a positive variance and manage project scope.
  • Complete timely and accurate invoicing and assist with collections when past due.
  • Certify the construction of projects where needed and develop a sound technical approach that satisfies client needs.
  • Maintain positive relationships with current and past clients and seek potential opportunities to market the firm’s engineering services.
