HMB Professional Engineers is seeking a CEI Inspector with experience in Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI), particularly on Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) projects. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of related CEI experience including work on ALDOT projects
• Maintain the physical endurance to work in various outdoor environments, including extreme heat and cold
• Candidates must be trustworthy and responsible
• Valid AL Driver's license, have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Successful completion of drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Performing technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
• Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
• Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performing daily field inspections and maintaining inspection records
• Participating in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracking quality assurance progress
• Providing input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers
