Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking candidates experienced on FDOT Roadway and Bridge Projects for a full-time CEI Inspector position , to perform inspection services as an owner's representative on a number of roadway construction projects in and around Jacksonville, FL. Requirements

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON FDOT PROJECTS AND HOLD THE MINIMUM CTQP CERTIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW
  • High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years' experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway/asphalt construction inspection, plus the following:
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Level I
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must at all times have a current, valid driver's license in which the employee performs his or her driving duties and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.

  • Candidates with less than 2 years' experience may be considered if they possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Possess the ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
  • Possess the ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
  • Have general knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
  • Track and document work performed.
  • Prepare Daily Reports electronically and submit daily.
  • Participate in all required meetings.
  • Shall immediately report any non-complying work as well as individuals who fail to perform their work in a skillful, safe and workmanlike manner.
  • Ensure that construction submittals are approved as required by the contract, prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed with these items.
