About The Position

We are currently searching for a CEI Inspector Trainee to support our Mid Atlantic Region located in Hazelton, PA. The position involves performing a range of routine and standardized work including, but not limited to, manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Responsibilities include inspecting truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course, performing a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing, and carrying out contract administrative duties such as field measurements of pay item quantities and project close-out. The role also requires transporting materials test samples from job sites to contracted laboratory sites.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some knowledge of surveying, highway construction or design.
  • General knowledge of mathematical functions and skill in the use of office equipment such as a calculator.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and immediate ability to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Preference for one (1) year transportation experience.
  • Must apply safety philosophy and program to all operations.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
