About The Position

We are currently searching for a talented CEI Contract Support Specialist to join our Southeast Region in Florida. The CEI Contract Support Specialist provides project-related contract administrative support for staff by handling a variety of tasks with changing priorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 4 years of road and bridge CEI experience OR a Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction contract administration function.
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II is required.
  • Must have above average oral and written language skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills to handle changing tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to use computer and other basic office equipment.
  • High degree of professional judgment; ability to generate trust and retain confidentiality.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees infrastructure construction processes related to materials and compensation.
  • Directs work that involves specialized or complex engineering construction payment and record keeping processes for progress and final estimates.
  • Provides administration support.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates contract administration tasks for CEI projects to assure compliance with the construction contract and other applicable guidelines.
  • Monitors construction costs, negotiating prices for contract modifications with contractors.
  • Writes or supervises the preparation of reports and correspondence, and communication with contractors, supervisors, local agency officials, subordinates, media and the general public.
  • Documents pertinent project activities in order to maintain accurate records. Implements QC/QA procedures and documentation as directed by senior staff.
  • Understands and adheres to assigned phase and project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of project.
