To instruct students in Continuing Education (CE) training in various course related to advanced manufacturing Employment is renewable yearly based on need.
Requirements
Effective teaching techniques adaptable to a variety of learning styles.
Understanding the comprehensive mission and philosophy of community colleges.
Subject matter and related and/or relevant topics and issues in the teaching discipline. This includes, but is not limited to, blueprint reading; Electronics, Mechanical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Quality principles, and AC motor controls.
A willingness to learn new technologies and processes as they develop.
Sensitive issues relating to a multicultural student body.
Principles and practices associated with Servant-Leadership.
Maintaining an established schedule which may include evenings and weekends and multiple campus locations that vary.
Effective planning, organizing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Interacting with students of multicultural backgrounds.
Effectively assisting student learning.
Being punctual for classes.
Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information.
Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, classroom, or other current learning technologies for effective teaching at the community college level.
Three years of related work experience in a technical field.
BS in Engineering
Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for teaching at multiple locations.
Ability to communicate effectively with students.
Ability to move cylinders, steel, and other equipment typical of a welding shop or lab.
Ability to lift and move 80 pounds.

Responsibilities
Instructs students in the advanced manufacturing discipline.
Provides learning activities that stimulate student involvement and encourage critical thinking.
Demonstrates creativity and innovation in the field and service to the profession and/or the community.
Plans and organizes lesson plans, researches and references materials, syllabi, and other learning aids.
Maintains office hours to assist students.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Workforce Projects Coordinator, Manager and/or Dean.
Provide instruction 3 of the following areas: Electronics, Automated systems, PLCs and Mechanical systems.
