About The Position

The CDS Tax Support Specialist is responsible for managing tax associated tasks under Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Consumer Directed Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of general office and computer experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One or more years of working with CDS tax related services and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain tax IDs for the Medicaid consumer/employer.
  • Organize and maintain tax documents.
  • Coordinate relevant tax matters with branch staff, payroll vendor, and corporate support center.
  • Communicate with consumers regarding tax matters.
  • Utilize Point of Care to track discharges.
  • Utilize state and federal sites for tax applications and maintain current information.
  • Analyze tax letters for appropriate next steps and follow through to resolution.
  • Ensures tax handling is compliant with state regulations.
  • Completes required job role training.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Completes required job role training.
  • Timely submission of timekeeping and paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.
