About The Position

The Records Control Specialist will, amongst other things, play a crucial role in maintaining safe airworthiness of all CH146 aircraft at the assigned unit through close monitoring and management of all aircraft maintenance record sets. The Records Control Specialist will be reporting to the on-site BTCL aircraft maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma. College degree in aircraft maintenance is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position of aircraft technician in the Royal Canadian Air Force (preferably on the CH146 Griffon fleet, or one of the fleets managed on the ADAM system, other fleet experiences will be considered)
  • Good knowledge of the ADAM and the CH146 IETM/IETP, Ch146 HUMS systems is an asset.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO) is important, particularly the 'P' series CFTOs, AMMIS and the Technical Airworthiness Manuals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Autonomous and adaptable.
  • Willing to work shifts (Days and Evenings), overtime, on-call and be deployable.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and review all assigned aircraft maintenance records to ensure that all maintenance data recorded is accurate and is in accordance with the Canadian Forces airworthiness regulations and policies.
  • Manage individual special inspections, modifications or special information instructions on assigned aircraft.
  • Provide performance statistics associated with these elements to the Squadron Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Officer or to the BTCL CH146 Senior Maintenance Manager as required.
  • When required, carry out the transfer of maintenance data on the ADAM system from commercial work orders.
  • Manage the aircraft maintenance induction schedule and review ADAM documentation requirements prior to aircraft induction into maintenance.
  • Notify the on-site BTCL Material Representative of parts requirements prior to induction.
  • Maintain statistics related to 100% audit findings and accuracy of the maintenance records and submit to the BTCL Senior Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in the conduct of annual audits by the Canadian Governmental Program Quality Assurance section, and those conducted by the Department of National Defense.
  • Support the on-site Supervisor with all Flight Safety occurrences reporting and investigation.
  • When required, participate in CH146 Aircraft Maintenance Control and Records Officer briefing sessions.
  • Provide assistance to the Squadron's AMCRO section.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Canadian Government Programs, or by the BTCL Senior Maintenance Manager for the CH146.
