The driver is responsible for executing deliveries in the most efficient, safest, and professional way possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Valid Class A or B CDL required, Class A preferred
  • Two-year relevant experience preferred
  • Two-year clean driving record
  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (Forklift, Moffit, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meet compliance with third party DOT safety and compliance vendors
  • Capable of lifting 80 lbs repetitively

Responsibilities

  • Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws , including use of seat belts and driving the speed limit
  • Securing loads and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle .
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations .
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues are communicated to maintenance.
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules .
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations .
  • Reporting defects, accidents, and violations .
  • Loading and unloading orders at the correct delivery sites.
  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner .
  • Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports .
  • Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries.
  • Verifying loads for accuracy .
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements during unloading stage of delivery.
