About The Position

The CDL Truck Driver Roll-Off position at Waste Management involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. Requirements

• Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Acceptable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy-duty truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Route Manager.
• Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
• Assist other company drivers as directed by the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure all containers are completely dumped and the customer's location is clean.
• Position containers properly on the customer's property to avoid blocking driveways or traffic.
• Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation at the end of the route.
