About The Position

The position involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes. The driver will navigate a variety of environments including residential, commercial, and construction sites. The job requires adherence to safety regulations and company expectations, ensuring a clean and safe vehicle at all times.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED (accredited).

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a heavy-duty commercial vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies.
• Completes all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensures containers are positioned correctly and leaves the customer's location clean.
• Completes and submits customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Follows route assignments and completes documentation at the end of the route.
