About The Position

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. The position requires adherence to Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. The driver must maintain a clean and safe vehicle, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. The role involves working closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and assisting other company drivers as directed.

Requirements

• Must have a Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Acceptable driving record required.

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years driving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
• Works closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies.
• Notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
• Completes and submits customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Positions containers on the customer's property correctly.
• Follows route assignments and completes all documentation.
