Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. The position requires adherence to Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. The driver must maintain a clean and safe vehicle and perform pre- and post-trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). Immediate reporting of unsafe situations or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch is essential. The role involves participation in scheduled training and cooperation with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies. The driver is responsible for completing all duties as scheduled, notifying management of any incidents, and ensuring customer locations are left clean and free of debris.
