About The Position

The position involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes. The driver will navigate a variety of environments including residential, commercial, and construction sites. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and company expectations, ensuring a clean and safe vehicle at all times.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• CDL-Class B Commercial Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED (accredited).

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a heavy-duty commercial vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies.
• Assist other company drivers as directed.
• Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure all containers are dumped and the customer's location is left clean.
• Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Position containers properly on the customer's property.
• Follow route assignments and complete all documentation at the end of the route.
