About The Position

This is a full-time, year-round Swing CDL Driver position that requires 75% travel to various sites as driver relief, including but not limited to Bemidji, Duluth, Cambridge, etc. The role involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes, driving a heavy-duty commercial vehicle into a variety of environments such as residential, commercial, and construction sites. The position starts at 5:00 am and may involve 10 to 12-hour days.

Requirements

• 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• CDL-Class B Commercial Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a heavy-duty truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using standard DVIR.
• Reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies.
• Completes all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensures containers are positioned correctly and leaves the customer's location clean.
• Completes and submits customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Follows route assignments and completes all documentation at the end of the route.
