Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Tanker endorsement preferred, willing to train to acquire.
  • Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of conducting vehicle inspections.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills.
  • Skilled in documenting mileage and service hours in accordance with DOT log regulations.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75lbs, frequently stoop and bend at the knees as well as remaining seated for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours with overnight travel to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company trucks to deliver water / equipment to designated location, safely and accurately.
  • Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations.
  • Obtain receipts and signatures as required.
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Load or assist in loading trailer with materials.
  • Unload or assist in unloading trailer, safely and efficiently by using forklift or hand truck.
  • Follow freight handling specifications.
  • Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precaution.
  • Operate vehicle in a manner that demonstrates that safety is a priority.
  • Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs to remain current on safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business.
