About The Position

The Driver Shuttle Truck Jockey is a non touch freight position and is responsible handling the spotting of inbound or outbound trailers on and off the dock for Production and Warehouse, as needed.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years old
Class A CDL license Preferred and the obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Ability to maintain DOT physical requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Driver must have good communication skills to communicate with all parties
Good work record, Good attendance, Dependable with a good attitude, Good safety record, Ability to receive and follow instructions, Ability to work well and get along with other employees and/or customers, In the event of drivers to have a good MVR
Ability to demonstrate customer service, initiative, teamwork, and technical skills
Ability to work safely and securely
Ability to use dolly 50 times per shift
Ability to enter and exit cab of tractor an average of 100 times daily
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required

Responsibilities

Responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment
Daily Operation - Makes sure all dropped inbound or outbound trailers are spotted on or off the dock as needed to ensure efficient loading and unloading with no delays
Assist depending on the daily production demands to run transport loads, work within the facilities doing warehouse work to fill his or her work for the day or week
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
