The Driver Shuttle Swing is a non touch freight position and is responsible for pulling finished goods from the production plant and raw materials from the warehouse to the plant. What your day will look like: Ensure all loads are picked up from the plant as they are loaded with no delays Responsible for trailers to always be in place for both the plant and the warehouse for successful startups and shutdowns Ensures all deliveries for both finished goods and raw materials are on time Responsible for paperwork and bills of lading to be filled out correctly before pulling the loads Ensure all loads either going in or out of the plant are sealed Fills out and maintains daily inspection sheet for our shuttle tractors/trailers and notifies Service Department, Supervisors, and or the Facility Manager of any problems Works in a productive manner with peers, management, and the customer to achieve facility productivity goals (12-14 loads pulled per shift, per driver) Reports lack of work and or any production issues immediately to the supervisor and understands they will be expected to work in the warehouse as needed to maintain productivity for both the shuttle and warehouse Occasional Over the Road driving Works in a productive manner with peers, management, and the customer to achieve facility productivity goals of up to 50 pallets per hour when driving a forklift in the warehouse Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
