Perform manual labor assisting in accomplishing many different tasks for craft on site - welders and crane operators. Work is usually performed with other workers. May also have to assist with monitoring activities inside and outside of the tank (confined space). Typical Duties Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values." (Requires a CDL Class A or B license with P) Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics." Cleans tools & equipment. Removes debris from roadways and work areas. Unloads materials, such as tools, equipment, sand, from freight cars and trucks, manually or with hand truck; and stacks for storage. Uncrates equipment and parts, using pry bar and hammer, & wrenches. Act as Fire Watch, Hole Watch or Bottle Watch and/or Spotter/Flagger. Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, air impacts, hand wrenches. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision. Watch out for fire hazards in the workplace while work is performed by other employees. Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit. Keep flammable materials from ignition sources. In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or turn on a fire alarm. As much as possible, keep visual and voice contact with other employees. Before and during each shift, inspect the entire work area and look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids. Never leave the job site while the work is being done. Conversely if you must leave, stop the job, and notify workers that you are "standing-by-for". The Attendant shall know the hazards that may be faced during confined space entry, including information on the mode, signs or symptoms, and consequences of exposure. Confined space hole watch attendants are vigilant to hazards like toxic fumes, combustible gases, and entrapment risks. The attendant shall be aware of the possible behavioral effects of hazard exposure to entrants. Attendant must maintain an accurate account of entrants in the confined space. The attendant shall remain outside the confined space during confined space operations until relieved by another attendant.
