Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver preferred.
  • Ability to operate and drive a variety of trucks and trailers.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina to meet the demands of long-distance driving.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck or other designated vehicle to transport goods over long distances.
  • Load and unload cargo as needed, using proper handling methods and equipment.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly according to safety requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to management.
