About The Position

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and work closely with warehouse teams, client representatives, and scientific professionals to safely receive, process, and deliver packages in a high-security laboratory environment. This position supports mission-critical operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and professional delivery services that help return time back to science. Recognition: Celebrate your peers and earn points to redeem on gifts and products What we're looking for Education: High School Diploma or GED required; AA or BS/BA preferred Experience: 1–3 years of applicable route driving or delivery experience involving handling inventory Valid CDL required HazMat endorsement required DOT certifications as required, approval, and a yearly physical as requested by the customer Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening Experience using material handling equipment (standard and electric pallet jacks, carts, dollies) Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs Strong communication, flexibility, organization, and customer service skills High regard for safety, quality, and compliance Work independently, on a team, and follow detailed procedures Ability to meet customer background checks, security clearance, and medical requirements Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances, and medical checkups. Creating and reviewing Bill of Lading (BOL’s) Preferred experience in using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, carts) How you will thrive and create an impact As part of the delivery and site services team, you will play a critical role in supporting scientific and laboratory operations by ensuring accurate, secure, and timely delivery of materials. In this role, you will: Receive and process packages each morning, ranging from small parcels to large shipments Load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate material handling equipment Perform two scheduled delivery routes daily, returning to the warehouse between runs to reload in the La Jolla area Deliver packages to assigned client buildings promptly and perform desktop deliveries as required Use handheld scanners and tracking systems to document deliveries accurately Interact professionally with scientists and client personnel in a laboratory setting Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, site protocols, and Statement of Work (SOW) requirements Secure loads properly and apply placarding as required Report vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly Return truck and all equipment to the warehouse at the end of the workday Maintain a good driving record Perform other duties as assigned Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; AA or BS/BA preferred
