About The Position

The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. The CDL Driver will collect waste from customer sites and transport to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
  • Must meet all company standards for safety-sensitive functions and demonstrate total control of the vehicle and equipment during a road test.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to operate various heavy-duty vehicles and understand hydraulic equipment systems.
  • Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to solve field problems and navigate "on-the-fly" challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for reporting inspections, hazards, and daily paperwork.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations related to load weights and route timing.
  • Ability to work outdoors 100% of the time, regardless of weather (heat, rain, or cold).
  • Must be able to climb, balance, kneel, and stoop to secure containers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
  • Sitting is required up to 75% of the time. You must maintain intense focus in loud, high-traffic, and tight-clearance environments.
  • Must be available for overtime to ensure our customers are serviced on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect and transport waste with precision.
  • Perform rigorous daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
  • Identify and communicate any mechanical needs to the shop team immediately to keep your rig in peak condition.
  • Work closely with your supervisor to sharpen route efficiencies.
  • Navigate tight sites and high-traffic areas with a "Zero-Accident" mindset.
  • Identify and report site hazards before performing a task to ensure the safety of yourself and the public.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a "customer-first" demeanor.
  • Maintain accurate digital and paper records of services performed, route sheets, and daily truck reports.
  • Take pride in your workspace by maintaining a clean interior and exterior of your vehicle.
