Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Class A or B Commercial Drivers' License (CDL).
• One year of experience operating tandem trucks and/or Ready Mix truck driving experience preferred.
• Possess a safe driving record and maintain an active DOT qualification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform well in a team environment and be a self-motivator.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in operating Ready Mix trucks.
• Previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Operate Ready Mix/Concrete Truck safely and efficiently adhering to Martin Marietta and DOT regulations.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, record and inspect vehicles including fueling, cleaning, and checking fluids.
• Clean mixer between loads using water hoses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Assist maintenance with repairs as needed.
• Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer.
• Communicate and direct coworkers verbally or through two-way radio and hand signals.
• Provide appropriate documentation on delivery tickets and ensure they are signed and returned.
• Exercise good judgment regarding work site access and unloading operations.
• Maintain good customer relations and act in a professional manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other regulations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and perform other duties as required.
