About The Position

Shalestone, Inc. is looking for Class A or Class B drivers with tanker endorsement for our Debeque, CO Branch. We are looking for 3-4 drivers asap. Dayshift and Nightshift schedules are available. This is a set schedule with 40+ hours per week, 5 days on 2 days off.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to company insurer.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
  • Able to operate a MANUAL TRANSMISSION (13 to 18 speed).
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and physical.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driving: 3 years (Preferred).
  • Oilfield: 3 years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Loading, hauling, and unloading of material related to oil field and industrial use while operating a tractor trailer.
  • Provide general upkeep of either CMV by properly utilizing the provided systems.
  • Keep locations clean of trash and debris.
  • Safely drive to and from customer locations while driving a CMV over 26,001 lbs.
  • Load and unload while practicing company SPCC plan.
  • Clearly communicate all tasks, hazards, and pertinent information to supervisor.
  • Report to work on time.
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings and training delivered by management.
  • Understand and follow the company’s policies and procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Inspect vehicle daily to determine if any safety defects are present or if truck is in safe operating order.
  • Safely drive from one destination to another without incident.
  • Operate the equipment in close quarters safely and efficiently.
  • Complete paperwork on time and correctly; JSA’s, Equipment Check list, timecards, logbooks as required.
  • Ensure all fittings & equipment are available for assigned jobs prior to departure.
  • Monitor fluid level gauges on the equipment.
  • Understand basic fluid dynamics such as levels, types, and applications.
  • Effectively communicate with dispatch or supervisor.
  • Load, secure, transport and unload/stage various types of tanks, skids, machinery, and equipment.
  • Maintain and properly utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, Flame Resistant clothing, and gloves.
  • Have a basic level of mathematical abilities to perform simple calculations.
