About The Position

CTI, Inc. is hiring Class A HAZMAT Drivers for our Kingman, AZ terminal. This position involves loading, transporting, and delivering products such as copper concentrate in container trailers (from Origin Mine to our Kingman railyard) and other materials to various mines and aggregate sites across Arizona and New Mexico. Drivers primarily run local and regional routes and are typically home daily. Copper operations are outside in the elements and require a half-face respirator, and any other required PPE to be worn for specific tasks. In addition, having to wear a half-face respirator, also requires that you are clean-shaven daily. We operate 24/7/365. Work schedules may vary, depending on business needs. Load assignments are given based on hours of service available. Dedicated tractors are assigned, trailers are shared, and slip-seating is expected. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
HAZMAT endorsement is required
Minimum 23 Years of age
1-year experience operating a combination vehicle. Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training period
Valid DOT Physical
Authorized access to Origin Mine Company
Meet minimum background check requirements for Origin Mine Company
No more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
HAZMAT Copper Drivers must wear a half-face respirator for specific tasks, which also requires that you are clean-shaven daily.
Successful respirator physical, and respirator fit test
Ability to pass a satisfactory road test
Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purpose
Ability to operate a manual 10-speed configuration
Must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
Ability to work varying hours and schedules; occasionally staying overnight with short notice
Occasionally lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 70 pounds
Steel toe boots (not supplied by CTI)

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred; certification must be obtained within 15 days of hire (we'll assist with certification, if needed)
Ability to operate a forklift; certification and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Loading, transporting, and delivering products such as copper concentrate in container trailers (from Origin Mine to our Kingman railyard)
Transporting other materials to various mines and aggregate sites across Arizona and New Mexico
Operating a combination vehicle as a driver in compliance with FMCSA
Operating a manual 10-speed configuration
Complying with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations
Being available for work when hours are available, according to FMCSA’s hours of service regulations
Performing tasks in rapid succession, handling stressful situations, making quick decisions, and reacting
Crawling on hands and knees to open and close bottom hatches on the underside of the trailer
Climbing of stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground
Sitting, driving, shifting gears and stay awake for long periods of time
Conducting tasks while wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
Wearing a face respirator and additional PPE when required while performing tasks
