About The Position

As a CDL Front Load Driver, you’ll play a key role in keeping our communities clean, safe, and running smoothly. You’ll operate a commercial front-load truck along assigned routes, safely collecting and transporting solid waste while delivering excellent customer service. This is a hands-on, physically active role ideal for drivers who take pride in their work, value safety, and enjoy being part of a reliable, professional team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Class A or B CDL
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certification
• Ability to meet all safety-sensitive position requirements
• Ability to safely operate a front-load truck and associated equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial front-load truck along designated routes to collect and transport solid waste to post-collection facilities
• Open container enclosures or gates to access containers; roll 3–4 yard containers into position as needed
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required vehicle reports
• Interact professionally with customers and the public; escalate issues to supervision as needed
• Maintain clean and safe customer sites by removing loose trash or debris
• Accurately complete DOT logs, route productivity sheets, and vehicle condition reports
• Safely maneuver vehicles in tight or minimum-clearance spaces using mirrors, maps, and GPS
• Follow all safe operating practices, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Monitor dumping operations for loose debris and ensure sites are secure before and after service
• Comply with all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
