About The Position

Position Summary Transport materials or goods in a safe and timely matter. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs. Communicate with dispatch as needed. Other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Truck Driver.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Requires a valid CDL driver’s license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic regulations
  • Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work.
  • Alert, focused, and detail orientated.
  • Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
  • All employees at made aware that Apache has a comprehensive drug/ alcohol policy and program in place, which includes random testing
