CDL Field Technician

In this role technicians will specialize in operating a Test Truck/Rig to perform services on weighing equipment in the field. The ideal candidate should have a general mechanical or electrical background, be a self-starter with a solid customer oriented approach. We are a diverse company providing systems integrations, field service and turn-key installations of Process Automation Systems, Industrial Weighing Equipment, and Process Instrumentation. Requirements
- Comfortable working in all work environments, outdoor industrial settings includes dust, dirt, extreme temps both hot & cold
- Able to work overtime as needed to complete projects within defined deadlines
- Hold a Class B CDL (drivers license)
- Familiarity with industrial service tools, and welding experience desirable (must have own standard tools)
- Basic understanding of 120VAC wiring and/or DC signal wiring
- Strong problem solving & critical thinking skills
- Offer exceptional customer service and communicate effectively
- Able to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb. for extended periods of time in a safe manner
Responsibilities
- Operation of company Test Truck and/or Rig type CDL vehicle to perform a variety of field services including: installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of customer equipment, often outdoors
- Ability to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment related to Heavy Capacity
- Capability of leading projects and being a resource to peers while on job sites
- Identify potential sales opportunities & offer solutions to benefit the customer operations
