About The Position

For CDL A Drivers, the role involves traveling on assigned routes, packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials according to environmentally responsible policies. This position may require up to 4 overnights per week, with paid hotel expenses and a nightly per diem. For CDL B Drivers, the role also involves traveling on assigned routes for packing, transporting, and disposing of waste materials in an environmentally responsible manner. This position requires accurate record maintenance, the ability to follow instructions, and to work independently after training. It requires 4 overnights and some weekend work, with a company card for hotel expenses and a daily stipend for food and other costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to understand, read, and write English
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Willingness and ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Nice To Haves

  • TWIC Card
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Hazmat endorsement (candidates will be expected to obtain as a condition of employment after hire for CDL B)
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • At least 1 year of route driving experience
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

  • Packing waste material
  • Transporting waste material
  • Properly disposing of waste material in accordance with environmentally responsible policies and procedures
  • Maintaining records with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Following instructions and working independently once provided proper training
