About The Position

As a CDL Driver based in Tampa, FL, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes. This position requires operating commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations to maintain safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for inspecting your vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in optimal working condition. The role demands excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of customer service. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the smooth operation of the supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles safely.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied climates.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Familiarity with local and regional routes in the Tampa area.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Excavating trenches, installation of pull boxes, installation of electrical wire, mounting equipment, setting up lane closures, using hand tools to grade for asphalt or sod, placement of asphalt or concrete, general cleanup.
• Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records as required by law.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
