About The Position

Quanex is looking for a CDL Driver to join our team located in Phoenix, AZ. Drivers will be driving company provided trucks for local deliveries to our customers. The top priority of this position is to deliver Quanex products to customers in the most efficient manner while upholding our expectations of customer service. Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
  • Loading and unloading large rolling racks by forklift.
  • Loading and unloading individual door and window screens.
  • Transferring empty carts from suppliers to Quanex.
  • Assisting customers with unloading and checking in products during deliveries.
  • Checking truck fluid levels daily.
  • Staging and loading delivery order
  • Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements.
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to this position; i.e., driving logs, accurate time keeping, etc.
  • Check finished goods to/from previous shift.
  • Operate all forklifts to properly load, transport and unload stock, parts and materials.
  • Load/unload trucks with /raw material and finished goods in a safe and secure fashion.
  • Unload trucks delivering material, verifies the receipt of the goods, and signs packaging slips.
  • Move trailer to dock for loading.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
