The driver is responsible for driving the Mobile Mammography van to and from places where our patients live and work. Once on site, this person collects information and registers patients for their appointment. Operates hospital vehicle to transport Mammography Technologist and equipment to various sites in a safe manner, adhering to Mercy Health policies and DOT regulations. Completes daily pre check and post check maintenance checklist to ensure van and equipment are in working order. Reports any malfunction of the vehicle to management. Gases vehicle on specified days of the week, maintains cleanliness of van and stocks supplies when necessary. Meets and greets customers. Obtains and verifies patient demographic information and ensures completion of forms to include: copies patient insurance card, Medicare questionnaire, obtain signed consent form and ABN when necessary

Requirements

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS (must be non-expired/active unless otherwise stated): Required: Valid State Driver’s License and CDL Class B.
