About The Position

Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a CDL Driver at our distribution facility located in Odessa, TX. Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Employing state-of-the-art robotics, precision welding equipment, and automated machining processes, Dexter has achieved many years of success through a commitment to the principles of superior quality, continuous improvement, and unparalleled customer service. JOB DESCRIPTION Dedicated local route delivering to Dexter customers with one overnight per week. most nights and every weekend. Equipment is an automatic Freightliner Day Cab Truck pulling a 48' or 53' flatbed Pay structure includes miles, drop, and hourly pay. Deliver trailer and trailer products to customers timely while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several areas of the state. Record amount and type of cargo being delivered. Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs. Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion. Follow all applicable traffic laws. Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find. Keep a log of activities. Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving. Minimum Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Valid Class A CDL Required.
  • Flatbed experience preferred.
  • 1 year experience, including manual.
  • Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
  • Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Flatbed experience preferred.
