About The Position

This position is responsible for local delivery between our facilities (main yard and between our secondary buildings ½ mile & 5 miles away). Load and unload shipments and work with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure moves are made in proper order in a timely manner with order and inventory accuracy. Adheres to company standards of safety and quality, while maintaining efficiency and timeliness.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid and active CDL A license and maintain the CDL A license while employed by Pregis LLLC
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.
  • Ability to communicate with team effectively and respectfully, and during shift transition.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power Industrial equipment (forklifts) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe, well organized, FIFO controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice.
  • Completes trailer moves, when necessary, with safety as the primary focus to ensure foam is handled properly to keep quality standards prior to arriving to the customer
  • Assists in maintaining inventory by identifying materials/supplies and placing them on designated shipments in accordance with delivery note. Ensure delivery notes are accurately filled out and returned to the logistics coordinator.
  • Responsible for inspecting all materials to ensure items are in acceptable condition to ship to the customer.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and work regulations including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules. Attend meetings and complete safety training as required. Report all hazardous conditions to the Team Lead, Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager immediately for corrective action.
  • Report any accident, incident or near miss to the Team Lead, Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
