This full-time position requires a Class A CDL License, being 21 years of age, and having a clean driving record with 6 months to 1 year of DOT driving experience. The employee will be responsible for transporting freight daily between one or more locations and must be able to operate a truck with a manual transmission. The role emphasizes work-life balance, ensuring drivers return home at the end of every shift with no long hauls or overnight stays. Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and pass all DOT and insurance regulations, including a pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL License
  • 21 Years of Age
  • Clean Driving Record
  • 6 months to 1 year DOT driving experience
  • Ability to operate a truck with a manual transmission
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Ability to read and understand the information and ideas presented in writing
  • Must be able to pass all DOT and insurance regulations
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening post-offer

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules and work procedures.
  • Drives 24' straight truck and tractor and trailer to transport materials to and from specified destinations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
  • Prepare receipts for the load picked up.
  • Maintained truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
  • May load and unload truck.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Clean the work area or vehicle.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
