Your Role at KIK This role is a critical part of keeping production moving smoothly at our Houston facility. The CDL Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently managing trailer movements within the yard, ensuring production lines are serviced on time and materials are positioned at the correct dock doors. Operating a yard mule and, when needed, forklifts or other material-handling equipment, this position directly supports plant operations, safety, and productivity. Success in this role is measured by safe driving practices, accurate equipment inspections, timely trailer placement, and strong communication with production and logistics teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational flow. This schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am and overtime on Saturdays as needed. Your training schedule for the first 30 days will be Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm. The pay for this role is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver license (clean MVR) and medical card required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ commercial driving experience with a current Class A CDL qualification (Hazmat and Tanker or X endorsement a plus)
  • Will operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load and transport goods
  • Lift certification will be required
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate the needs of the production line and service them accordingly via trailer movements to required dock door.
  • Manage the trailer movement within the KIK Facility via a Yard Mule (Tractor
  • Perform tractor inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • When directed, operate a forklift truck as necessary.
