Dayforce: Pine Street - Safety & Driver - HNL Drivers [Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour] Primary Responsibilities: Drive commercial vehicles, according to Federal Department of Transportation regulations, transporting JTB Hawaii guests and customers on specific routes throughout the Island of Oahu, in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

  • High school graduate, and required to be at least 21 years of age.
  • Required to possess a valid Hawaii driver’s license with a totally clean driver abstract.
  • Required to possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL), B or C, with air brake and passenger endorsements. Must be able to drive any type of commercial vehicle requiring a CDL “B” and/or “C”.
  • Able to frequently communicate with customers over a 2-way radio, cell phone, public address (PA) system and microphone in English and/or Japanese.
  • Able to work independently and work cooperatively with others; able to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a professional and positive manner.
  • Able to multi-task when vehicle in motion, while communicating with Dispatch over two-way radio.
  • Possess visual acuity; including constant peripheral awareness or side vision, eye coordination, depth perception, focusing ability and color vision.
  • Able to exercise self-control and handle stressful situations; able to deal with angry customers.
  • Able to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Constant – requires grasping, handling, finger dexterity, vision, hearing, eye-hand-foot coordination;
  • Frequent – pushing, pulling/lifting/carrying less than 25 pounds to more than 50 pounds, stair climbing and bending;
  • Occasional – standing, walking, crawling, squatting, twisting, side bending, overhead reach
  • Seldom - kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing
  • Constant – requires talking to co-workers and customers, written communication to co-workers;
  • Frequent – requires responding to verbal or written requests of co-workers, writing/composing written language, visiting/working at different worksites;
  • Occasional – requires talking to outside trades persons/vendors, talking on the telephone;

Nice To Haves

  • Possess at least one (1) year experience in customer service or hospitality-related experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Pre/Post- Trip inspections in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and Travel Plaza Transportation regulations and policies.
  • Provide safe transportation for airport transfers, charter excursions, tours. Provide customer service, assist in loading and loading passengers from vehicles. Assist with loading and unloading customer baggage.
  • Drive vehicle in accordance with State, Federal, and traffic regulations. Observe all traffic signals, signs, other vehicles, and pedestrians on the streets, freeways, and highways, avoiding accidents.
  • Record readings and information as required by procedures. Required to complete Accident Reports and check-in/out with Dispatch.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
