About The Position

CDL Driver Position Summary: Part-Time Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck to transport and deliver equipment between manufacturing facilities and retail locations safely and efficiently.

Requirements

High School Diploma or (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
1+ years of commercial driving experience.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Ability to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) certification requirements.
Proven track record of safe and satisfactory driving.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in proper working order.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or any damage to the vehicle promptly.
Verify all load-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service/repair status, and comply with state and federal regulations.
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew and ensuring proper placement of the vehicle and equipment.
Use lift equipment to load outbound freight safely and efficiently.
Perform material handling tasks when not actively engaged in deliveries.
Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
