About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager of Logistics and Donation Acquisition, the CDL Truck Driver will perform daily local deliveries and pick-ups in a company vehicle at various locations. The CDL Driver will also be responsible for in-house materials such as stack, wrap, label, physical movement of materials, loading and unloading, as well as, driving and operating forklifts.   • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of CDL truck driving experience.
  • Local truck driving experience.
  • Nevada CDL Drivers License (Class A) with three years of clean driving history.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
  • Travel to various locations in the Las Vegas area and between Opportunity Village campuses.
  • Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel: Between worksite locations Within the community
  • Accurately complete pre-and-post shift inspection and preventative maintenance logs for assigned vehicle.
  • Supervise or help with the loading of company vehicles.
  • Check the condition and security of the load and that it is securely fastened.
  • Assist with the loading of company vehicles; adhere to all safety requirements including proper lifting techniques, use of dollies, lift gates, use of seat belts and other equipment when moving material.
  • Ensure the condition of the load and that it is securely fastened.
  • Check all documentation related to goods being transported.
  • Drive a tractor, truck, or van to make deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Move materials using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or hand carry.
  • Prepare goods for transport and storage.
  • Assist in the organization of goods stored in the warehouse.
  • Communicate route variable with manager such as heavy traffic conditions, lag time with dock availability, lag time with customer specific needs and requests.
  • Assist in obtaining accurate inventory counts of goods stored on company property and performing inventory counts.
  • Process and accept credit card payments accurately and securely, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
  • Assists in cleaning yard and dock space as needed.
  • May be assigned other duties as needed.
