We are searching for an experienced CDL Driver at our TexTrail-Odessa-TX facility. For more information about our company, access Dexter's web site at www.dextergroup.com. JOB DESCRIPTION Dedicated local route delivering to Dexter customers. Home nights and weekends. Equipment is an automatic International Day Cab Truck pulling a 53' flatbed. Deliver trailer and trailer products to customers timely while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several areas of the state. Record amount and type of cargo being delivered. Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs. Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion. Follow all applicable traffic laws. Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find. Keep a log of activities. Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Valid Class A CDL Required.
- 1 year experience, including manual.
- Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
- Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 3 years.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Flatbed experience preferred.
