About The Position

The CDL drivers are responsible for transporting different types of goods from distribution to customer location using over the road trucks. They perform vehicle inspections before and after trips and ensure products are unloaded from the trailer to customers’ facility. Drivers follow appropriate safety procedures to transport goods and ensure vehicle service needs are reports to appropriate resources. The role reports to shipping / delivery supervisors with a 5-day (up to 12 hrs./day) weekly schedule not to exceed 60 hrs.

Requirements

• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Dependable; solid work ethic;
• Safety mindset: consistently operates vehicle & equipment safely
• Drive up to 10 hrs./ day
• Work safely in hot and/or cold temperatures; primarily out-of-doors
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, stoop up to 10 hrs./day
• Lift / move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivers goods as needed from distribution to customer’s location.
• Assists co-workers / customers in loading and unloading, as needed.
• May operate different types trucks w/ varying sized trailer
• Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines
• Reports any concerns with the safe operation of vehicle
• Performs well in a fast-paced work environment w/ minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
