Requirements

• A minimum of class B CDL with air brake restriction lifted.
• Class B Bus endorsement.
• Valid medical card.
• Pass a DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
• Minimum education required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum time in related position: 3 years driving CDL rigs and snow driving.

Responsibilities

• Driving a bus to and from, or around Mt. Bachelor.
• Completing DOT inspection using DVIR.
• Checking and filling fluid levels on the bus as needed.
• Filling out the Mt. Bachelor daily driver report, recording added fluids and recording passengers by boarding pass type for each trip.
• Maintaining a clean bus interior between scheduled runs.
• Ensuring safety items are maintained and used properly.
• Identifying minor problems with the bus and having the vehicle maintenance shop address the problem.
• Completing a secondary inspection before driving your bus after periods of downtime.
• Putting tire chains on the bus when necessary.
• Providing guest service to guests or employees.
• Completing all paperwork at the end of each working day.
• Adding fuel to the bus.
• Washing the outside, de-icing the undercarriage, inspecting the interior for lost and found items, sweeping and mopping the floors, and emptying trash.
• Attending all Mt. Bachelor meetings when not in conflict with days off or driving duties.
• Attending all transportation department meetings.
• Picking up loose trash in the parking lot and surrounding area.
• Providing crowd control while a primary driver loads the bus.
• Helping other drivers shovel snow and spread cinders to get buses unstuck.
