We are now hiring for a Tender Truck Driver for our Silver Creek, NE location! This position is being offered as full-time with benefits. A Tender Truck Driver is responsible for operating company licensed commercial vehicles in a safe, effective and efficient manner while delivering dry/liquid fertilizers and chemicals, in a manner that will ensure excellent customer service and standards are met. To assure your success in this position, Frontier Cooperative provides industry-specific training and tools necessary to obtain proper credentials and certifications required for this position.

  • Operate company licensed commercial vehicles to transport dry and liquid fertilizers or anhydrous ammonia nurse trailers to producer's fields.
  • Assist in the loading of chemicals manually or through the company software system according to specifications given by Ag Advisors.
  • Load chemicals into containers by connecting hoses and operating the transfer system; secure vehicle for transport after loading.
  • Deliver product to AG Equipment Operators at producer's fields; prepare truck for product transfer; connect hoses to applicator machinery and operate pumps to transfer the product.
  • Clear hose lines when transfer is completed and secure hoses to truck; submit load ticket to operator on product delivered and return to chemical plant for new product load.
  • CDL Class A or Class B with proper endorsements to operate the tender semi-trucks or straight trucks.
  • Customer service skills; ability to transport a variety of products and perform manual labor.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, time management, problem solving, and analyzing information.
  • Ability to operate safely a variety of commercial vehicles and tools including trencher, boom truck, hose couplers, pneumatic and hand tools, and computers.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, or electronic instructions and read work orders, gauges, meters, maps, and safety rules.
  • Ability to write and record D.O.T. inspection and maintenance reports, mileage and fuel reports, and complete work orders.
